Prompter turns a laptop into a teleprompter. Press E to edit the script or drop in a .txt file, Space to play or pause, the arrow keys to change speed or jump between paragraphs, S for text size, colors and background opacity, and L to switch language. Nothing to install.
Why we made it
For our own video recording: talking-to-camera content, explainers and presentations. We wanted a teleprompter that opens instantly in a browser, runs entirely from the keyboard and stays out of the way.
Tools like this are part of how we work, too. When we need something and nothing quite fits, sometimes we build it.
